CAVU welcomes Nick Woods as Managing Director

Nick Woods joins CAVU as Managing Director, leading our next phase of growth and innovation.
CAVU has welcomed Nick Woods as Managing Director, marking a new chapter for the business as it continues to help airports, airlines and travel partners unlock more value from the end-to-end passenger journey.
Nick joins the role with deep experience from across Manchester Airport Group (MAG), where he has held senior technology leadership positions since joining the Group in 2016.
Over the past decade, he’s helped lead major transformation programmes, including work connected to the £1bn Manchester Transformation Programme, before becoming Chief Technology Officer in 2017 and Chief Information Officer in 2018.
During his time in MAG’s technology leadership, he’s been closely associated with a data-led approach to innovation, with a strong focus on improving operational performance and customer experience. In 2024, he was recognised in the CIO 100 Awards UK, reflecting the impact of that work.
Reflecting on the opportunity ahead, Nick said:
We’re building something special; the pieces are already there. The job now is to truly bring it together. The future of travel doesn’t need more noise. It needs clarity. It needs a business and brand that helps people move through their journey with confidence and ease. It needs CAVU.
Nick will lead CAVU through its next phase, building on our mission to make travel more seamless and enjoyable for passengers, while helping partners drive stronger commercial performance across the travel ecosystem.
